Leonardo DiCaprio stepped out for the Brant Foundation Art Study Center's Andy Warhol showing on Sunday in Greenwich, CT. The event, which featured several of the artist's greats hits such as "Flowers" and "The Last Supper," was also attended by Owen Wilson, Stephanie Seymour, and Sharon and Aimee Osbourne. While Leo made a quick entrance into the center, he has been a red carpet fixture over the previous weeks for Great Gatsby promotions. His much-anticipated film was released Friday but could not quite top the box office over the weekend, coming in No. 2 to still-reigning Iron Man 3.
Leonardo, though, has already switched gears and is utilizing the art world for his more charitable endeavors. The actor and his environmental foundation joined forces with Christie's for a charity auction in NYC today to benefit environmental causes. The event is called The 11th Hour Auction, and Leonardo's foundation hopes to raise over $18 million for causes such as wildlife and endangered-species protection. Thirty-three pieces from top artists including Banksy, Andreas Gursky, Bharti Kher, and others will be at the bidding stake, while Leonardo himself donated his "Ocean V" by Andreas to the auction.
The bride wore black! 90210 actress Shenae Grimes married her fiancé, Josh Beech, a British model, in Vera Wang gown today outside of London. He alerted his Twitter followers about the news, writing, "Huge day!" And she confirmed that today was indeed special by posting a photo of themselves in their wedding finest a bit later with the comment, "I now pronounce us Mr. and Mrs. Beech!" Shenae wore a black Vera Wang gown for the backyard ceremony at an English Tudor home. Shenae and Josh got engaged in December. Congrats to the newlyweds!
Keira Knightley and her now-husband, James Righton, stepped off a plane in Corsica on Wednesday, following their weekend wedding in the small town of Mazan, also in France. Keira wore a recycled Chanel gown to the nuptials. The intimate wedding was attended by a small group of family and friends and was followed by a party at Keira's parents' home in nearby Provence.
Once James and Keira landed on the island, the couple shared a baguette as they took a boat ride and spent some time relaxing on the beach. Keira sported a bikini while James splashed shirtless in the ocean, and the duo got playful as they lounged on chaises along the shore. The pair also shared a sweet moment together at a local cafe, holding hands across the table as they dined alfresco.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart checked out of their NYC hotel, hopped into a waiting car, and headed to JFK to catch a flight Wednesday. They didn't go straight to the airport, though — their driver stopped en route to pick them up a few slices of pizza!
Although they were both in the Big Apple, Kristen attended the Met Gala on Monday night without Rob by her side. He missed out on a fun evening with friends since Tom Sturridge and Sienna Miller were also at the bash and ended up leaving with Kristen. They weren't the only famous pals that Kristen spent time with — she arrived with Cameron Diaz and Stella McCartney! Both Kristen and Cameron were decked out in looks by the designer, with Kristen in a lace-embroidered jumpsuit and Cameron in a cobalt-blue caped dress.
The NYC visit wasn't all about the red carpet for Kristen, since she reportedly also checked out a performance of Orphans, which Tom stars in, on Broadway. Rob was also rumored to have been in the audience during a recent, but separate, showing.
Don't forget — Rob and Kristen are both in our POPSUGAR 100 bracket, so make sure to play for your chance to win a Victoria Beckham handbag!
Not all Met Gala red carpet appearances are created equal, and the style-setting veterans that make their way up those iconic museum stairs in stunning couture gowns year after year have certainly left an impression. Clearly, we can't get enough. We're talking specifically about an elite group of women who have entered into a veritable Met Gala "hall of fame" by virtue of their consistent on-point dressing. Whether your mind goes first to Gwyneth Paltrow's blue Gucci snakeskin dress in 1999, conjures up images of a very Carrie Bradshaw-esque Sarah Jessica Parker in Halston, remembers Blake Lively and Karl Lagerfeld arm in arm in 2011, or jumps right to Beyoncé's flame-embroidered custom Givenchy gown from last year's festivities, you'd be right to assume that these A-listers are among the best dressed (and most memorable) in Met Gala history. Welcome to our official Met Gala Hall of Fame — click on to see who has been inducted.
Kate Hudson had Matthew Bellamy by her side as they left a friend's house in LA yesterday. The duo were apparently getting a head start on Cinco de Mayo celebrations, and Kate marked the holiday early by baring her stomach in a cutoff Strokes tee and tiny shorts. Kate is back on the West Coast after a stint in NYC, where she hung out with her boys Matthew, Ryder, and Bingham and promoted The Reluctant Fundamentalist. During press for the movie, Kate opened up about balancing motherhood and work. She'll soon be getting a little extra recognition for her role as a mom since Mother's Day is coming up next weekend. Kate and her mom Goldie Hawn have a "hike, spa day, and tennis date in the desert" planned to mark the occasion, which they shared with us during a recent interview in the Big Apple.
The Beckham family had a busy weekend in Paris! On Saturday, David and his boys, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, kicked things off with a stop by the Paris Saint-Germain facilities, where they kicked around a soccer ball. The rest of the day was all about shopping, with the crew stopping by a Balenciaga store. Yesterday, David and the three boys took in the PSG game against Valenciennes, which David was forced to watch from afar since he received a one-game suspension last week. He and the boys later reunited with Victoria and Harper for a special visit to the Eiffel Tower to dine at Le Jules Verne. The restaurant, which is located on the second floor of the landmark, features stunning views of Paris and is accessed by a private elevator.
All six Beckhams are in France celebrating David's birthday after he turned 38 on Thursday. He marked the fun milestone on Friday, when he met up with his girls, Victoria and Harper, for a sweet outing that included lunch.
Keira Knightley married James Righton Saturday in France! The couple, engaged for a year, arrived in Nice last week to prep for their big day. On Saturday morning, they wed in the small French town of Mazan at the town hall with just a small group of family and friends there to witness. Later that evening, they hosted a party at Keira's family's farmhouse in Provence.
Keira wore a short dress, paired with a chic jacket, for the nuptials. In fact, Keira's Chanel dress was first seen on her in 2008! She also donned a chic Chanel jacket and flats. She polished off the look with a headpiece made of flowers. Congrats to Keira and James!
The Great Gatsby premiere in NYC last night was a star-studded affair with a whole host of celebrities stepping out to support the movie's stars. Leonardo DiCaprio was the man of the evening, arriving in a sharp suit, while Carey Mulligan and Isla Fisher stunned in Lanvin and Dolce & Gabbana, respectively. Isla changed into her floral red carpet gown after a busy fews day of Big Apple press that included a stop by Good Morning America. Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton, who play Nick Carraway and Tom Buchanan, respectively, were also on hand, as were Jake Gyllenhaal, Nina Dobrev, and a Tom Ford-clad Jay-Z.
The screening was just the latest Gatsby celebration after Prada hosted a cocktail reception in the movie's honor on Tuesday night. Isla, Tobey, and Carey made appearances at that event, where they mingled with Katy Perry and Florence Welch.
