The word is on the street and in Billboard Magazine, Van Halen is reuniting! This is so cool to many thirty somethings that now get a chance to see Sammy Haggar and Van Halen bring it back to the 80's with their forth coming US tour. I should be really excited, since Eddie and I are quite close, we actually shared a bottle of wine (with out cups or wine glasses) on the side of a NYC street corner. I know, your asking, 'how did that happen' , well thats the beauty of living in the Big Apple. So the story goes...I was walking back to my apartment building and there you have it, directly in front of my place Eddie V was sitting down on the street, wine a bottle of wine and a Filet o Fish sandwich, no seriously a Filet o Fish sandwich. One of my neighbors had already engaged Eddie and asked him why he was sitting outside on the corner. Well it turns out that Eddie was staying with a lady friend (in our building) and he decided he was hungry, thirsty , and wanted to have a smoke. So instead of venturing up to our 40th floor roof deck, Eddie decided to walk outside , hit the McDonald's across the street, scoop up a bottle of Italy's finest $10 vino and plant himself dead on the corner of 26th Street and 6th Avenue. It didnt take me long to decide on sitting down to join him. We talked about everything from his tongue cancer to his old days of sex , drugs and rock n roll. After a quick picture, a smoke, a swig of vino, a bite of his Filet o Fish ( I respectfully declined) I shook his hand and said my good byes.

I will always remember my day with Eddie V....
